Terje S. Skjerdal

Skjerdal is a professor of journalism, media, and communication at NLA University College, campus Kristiansand. He has extensive experience in the media field and combines professional competence with an international research focus.

Skjerdal's research focuses particularly on global media and journalism conditions, with an emphasis on East and Southern Africa, including Ethiopia and Uganda. He investigates issues related to freedom of the press, media ethics, citizen journalism, and the role of journalism in societies characterized by strong political and social tensions.
